Is there anything better than a freshly baked batch of soft chocolate chip cookies? We don’t think so. So friends, today we bring to you what would be the best, softest, most buttery and chocolate chippy and perfectly soft (did we mention that already?) with really chewy middles and crisp edges chocolate chip cookies. Would you ask? Well, the dough is so freaking delicious that uuuusually we end up eating it allll and then there’s none left to bake. Yup. Guilty as charged.

By the way, has anyone honestly ever gotten sick from eating cookie dough? Is it actually true or are people just trying to keep us from enjoying our lives?!? Anywhoooo. Here’s the recipe. Enjoy, you’re welcome!


- 280g flour

- 1 tsp baking soda

- ½ tsp salt

- 225g butter

- 100g brown sugar

- 100g sugar

- 2 eggs

- 2 cups chocolate chips

- pinch of fleur de sel

1 – Preheat the oven to 180°C.

2 – In a bowl mix together the butter, sugar and the eggs, until well combined.

3 – Add the flour, baking soda and salt step by step and gently fold together.

4 – Add chocolate chips and let the dough rest in the fridge for about 10 minutes.

Or at this point, take the whole thing with you, make yourself comfy with a cup of tea and a blanky on your couch, put on Netflix, spoon away and enjoy life.

5 – Roll the dough into balls and place them on a cookie sheet. Bake for about 7-9 minutes, depending on your oven. DO. NOT. OVERBAKE. This is crucial, friends. Just until they look puffy and start turning a little golden.

6 – Bake for about 15 - 20 minutes or until set in the middle.

7 – Remove from the oven and let them cool for about half an hour before you dig in.

Okay, eat like four or five now (be careful not to burn your tongue and then let the rest of them cool.

8 – Enjoy and share them with your family, friends, neighbours, kids (or not, hehehe).
