Aktualisiert: 24. Apr. 2020
There’s no place like home, except Grandma’s. Especially when there’s apple pie involved. What is more satisfying than this crunchy, cinnamony-cozy and joy-giving delicious apple pie right here in the middle of fall? Made with wholesome ingredients and a lot of love! PS. Since so many of you complimented us on our Grandma's homemade Apple Pie, we thought we’d share this yummy recipe with you! And the best part? It’s very quick and easy!
Xx, Sue & Sibylle WHAT YOU'LL NEED – 1 pie dough (store bought is fine – just make sure you get organic!) – 1 tablespoon ground nuts (we like hazelnuts) – 1 teaspoon cinnamon – 6 apples (we looove boskoop, they are the best this time of year:
fresh, crisp, juicy and so flavorful!) – 250 ml cream – 1 egg – 1 tablespoon cornstarch – 4 tablespoons of sugar – powdered sugar and some extra cream to make freshly whipped cream for serving
1 – Place your pie dough on parchment paper onto a baking tray and pinch it with your fork a couple of times. 2 – Mix a tablespoon of ground nuts and a teaspoon of cinnamon and spread evenly onto your pie dough. 3 – Layer your pie dough with about 6 peeled and not too thinly sliced apples 4 – In a blender mix up the cream, egg, cornstarch and the sugar and cover your apples. Preheat your oven to 200°C and bake your pie for about 30 minutens until lightly golden.Let cool for a bit and then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with freshly whipped cream.
