WHAT YOU'LL NEED
– 1 pie dough (store bought is fine – just make sure you get organic!) – 1 tablespoon ground nuts (we like hazelnuts) – 1 teaspoon cinnamon – 6 apples (we looove boskoop, they are the best this time of year:
fresh, crisp, juicy and so flavorful!) – 250 ml cream – 1 egg – 1 tablespoon cornstarch – 4 tablespoons of sugar – powdered sugar and some extra cream to make freshly whipped cream for serving
1 – Place your pie dough on parchment paper onto a baking tray and pinch it with your fork a couple of times.
2 – Mix a tablespoon of ground nuts and a teaspoon of cinnamon and spread evenly onto your pie dough.
3 – Layer your pie dough with about 6 peeled and not too thinly sliced apples
4 – In a blender mix up the cream, egg, cornstarch and the sugar and cover your apples.
Preheat your oven to 200°C and bake your pie for about 30 minutens until lightly golden.Let cool for a bit and then sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve with freshly whipped cream.
